doodler, pretty things enthusiast, scene stealer…

“a delight to have in class” and “a charismatic figure” were blanket statements given by my small town teachers to cover up what they actually meant : “this kid is definitely queer, he is constantly talking but even his corner-page doodles are impressive”.

and they were right.

After receiving a First Class Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Styling and creative direction from Solent University, I moved to Bristol to reclaim my spark that got lost during the dark days of 2020/2021. Turns out doing a creative degree during a global pandemic is really hard, especially when you require studios and in-person communication to create the best work you can. Anyways it seems I pulled through and found I’m actually a great problem solver, most likely due to my childhood heavily focusing on the importance of playing dress-up.

Moving to Bristol has allowed me to fall in love with a variety of subcultures and immerse myself in their creative expressions. Exposure to queer events, the south-west music scene and city street style has injected new life to my creative brain.

also ‘Joefish’ is because my early childhood friends could not pronounce joseph and it seems like a cute thing i can profit from ;)
